Gospel Meeting at the Ard Church of Christ with guest speaker Dale Foster from Houston, TX.

Dale Foster was born in Sheepranch, California on October 24, 1941. He holds Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, and Master of Arts degrees from Abilene (Texas) Christian University. He has also done additional studies at Harding Graduate School of Religion, Memphis, Tennessee. Brother Foster has served churches of Christ as a minister in British Columbia, Canada, Arkansas, and Texas for 54 years. Beginning January 1, 2017, he serves as director of the Church of Christ India Fund under the sponsorship of the Church of Christ in Jersey Village located in Houston, Texas. He has done work in radio and television, written for various church and secular papers, published one book, been a featured speaker on college lectureships, conducted numerous evangelistic meetings and seminars, has made thirty-eight mission trips to India with 22,809 baptisms into Christ, been involved in civic work, served on various boards, and received various honors and awards. Brother Foster was married for fifty-seven years to the former Sharon Kay Stanley who passed away August 19, 2016. He has two grown daughters and has been blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

This is a 6 week barrel racing series. Open class 4D format and is 1/2 second splits. Youth is 4D format and whole second splits. Beginners is whole second splits. Beginners is 3D format. Open Class entry fee is $25, Youth fee is $15, and Beginners is $10. There is a $5 office fee per rider. Must attend 4 of the 6 races to be eligible for buckles. There is a one time $20 nomination fee for each horse you want to nominate for buckle. Buckles will be given in the OPEN AND YOUTH CLASSES. Negative coggins required. All are welcome to attend this no pressure, no questions asked free lunch. Doors open at 11:30am. Fresh coffee is served and then lunch is served at 12pm to 1pm.

In addition to the wholesome and delicious hot FREE LUNCH served two other offerings for our Neighbors are now available: Guests who come for lunch can now pick up a sack lunch to take with them and have a second free meal; and, after lunch, there are usually “take-outs” available (and, as always, generous portions of “seconds” are served before dessert.)

Also, the clergy and people of All Saints’ have begun a new “Loaves and Fishes” ministry, with Sunday morning offerings at the altar now including necessities like cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, toilet paper, toiletries, hand soap, and detergent. The available items gifted each Sunday will be distributed on the following Saturday to Neighbors Table guests after the meal.

As the Arkansas River journeys through Lake Dardanelle, it continually shapes the land and creates numerous opportunities for people to enjoy from fishing to kayaking. The weather is warming up, and we’re going to see what’s emerging on the banks of Lake Dardanelle. We’ll paddleour kayaks through some seldom closely seen shoreline of this beautiful 34,000 acre lake. Sign up at the visitor center (479) 967-5516 at least one day in advance. Please specify when you sign up if you want a tandem (2 person) or solo kayak. We will meet at the front desk of the visitor center.
