Food and Fun is an event to help bridge the gap between the summer school food programs and the start of the new school year. Three days a week, there'll be reading of stories, games and lunch served (Sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, vegetables, fruit and drinks) for school-aged children. Then, bags of food will be distributed to the children to take home.

Looking for a great evening of great food and fun entertainment? Then put this event on your calendar. The evening will start with doors opening at 6 pm. The sit-down dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. After taking your walk down our red carpet, you will enjoy a scrumptious meal of chicken fettuccine alfredo and a salad followed by a fabulous dessert (we don't want to spoil all the surprises) provided by the talented cooks of Dover Market Catering. Then around 7 pm, you will want to have a napkin close at hand to wipe the tears from the laughter that will be drawn from you as we take a musical, "The Granny Awards", written for upper elementary students and present it to you with a cast adults. We have ages 20something to 80something. Can they act? They sure can. Can they sing? You will have to come to find out! Are they funny? Well, let's just say you'll definitely want a restroom break before the performance! Immediately following the performance, we will have a backdrop for photo opportunities with members of the cast. Bring your own camera! Oh, and one more thing. Feel free to come dressed as your favorite fairytale character. We promise you'll fit right in!!

Ashley Sutterfield-Saxon was a team gymnast and coach for Tena's Gymnastics for over a decade. She has touched the lives of many people in Russellville and the river valley through the sport of gymnastics. She is in need of a costly liver transplant, and we want to "Take ACTION for ASHLEY". All proceeds from this clinic will go to the National Foundation for Transplants in Honor of Ashley Saxon. Please come out and support Ashley and learn some backwards tumbling in the process! During the hours of the clinic we will also be doing a bake sale to have additional proceeds towards the cause. Please join us to shower this amazing friend with lots of love. We humans wear camouflage on a daily basis to blend in while hunting, and sometimes just for style. However, animals have to use camouflage to survive in the wild. Meet a park interpreter in the visitor center Orientation Room to see some pictures of these animals doing what they do best, blending in with nature, and see if you can spot all the hidden creatures in the pictures!
