Join us for light refreshments and a presentation by ATU Professor of printmaking, Neal Harrington, for the opening of Nahum Tschacbasov: Prints by a Modern Master. Tschacbasov (pronounced CHAK – BA – SOV) was a Russian-American artist best known for his abstract, surreal style. He was a important Modern painter and print maker who rose to fame in post-World War II New York. He was a contemporary of, and artistically similar to, such giants as Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and Salvador Dali. The exhibition features approximately 45 fine art prints the artist made between 1938 and 1962.

There will be a pee wee class for ages 8 and under. Entry fee for pee wee is $10. Youth class is ages 16 and under. Entry fee is $20. Open class entry fee is $30. There is a $5 office per rider in each class. Pee wee will be 3D format and youth will be 4D format. These will be whole second splits. Open is 4D format with 1/2 second splits. Our 2nd annual Light the Night 5k Glow Run/Walk in Johnson County will be held Saturday September 29th at 7 p.m. at Cline Park in Clarksville. There will also be a kids 1k race at 6:30 p.m. and a glow competition around 8:30 p.m.  Strollers are welcome and children under 13 can participate in the 5k if they have parental supervision. All proceeds will benefit CASA of the 5th Judicial District in their mission to provide a trained court advocate for every child who enters foster care in Johnson, Pope, or Franklin county.
